Didn't realize it until this SB Nation article, but one commenter noted that it's nigh-impossible for an Athletics fan in Northern California to see the season opener. Seems to be the case according to this post at Athletics Nation also. I know the difference between watching live at 3am and watching a tape delay at 6am seems trivial, and I know the economic reasoning behind blackouts, but still. Blackouts blow.
