Once upon a time, the Angels reportedly offered Adrian Beltre a big contract. Recently, there were rumors that the Angels pulled that offer, but remained in the hunt. And more recently, rumors have emerged that the Rangers are actually on the verge of signing Beltre to a five- or six-year deal, stealing him from their rival and forcing Michael Young to take his shitty defense to first base or the more hilarious DH.
Of course, rumors are rumors, and nothing's confirmed. Rest assured, when Beltre finally makes his decision, I'll probably have something to say. But I wanted to take this chance to see how the community feels. Let's leave aside the slim possibility that Beltre ends up somewhere other than Texas or Anaheim.
