Hey, hey! It's baseball! Did you miss it these past 48 hours? You missed it.
Five runs in three games means the Mariners beat the two per pace I outlined last preview. Thirteen games left and 28 runs to get to 500. Lets get together and will this not to happen. Eclipsing 500 runs scored would just be so anti-climatic after this handicapped season.
Toronto is the absolutely most average team of all time. That's soooooo Toronto. The average Blue Jay fan enjoys a club sandwich for lunch with some Diet Coke. His or her favorite season is late Spring. He or she means to read more often but often finds that there just "isn't enough time in the day". He or she is proud to be Canadian but not excessively so and thinks the people on either coast are a little nutty.

Wed Sep 18, 16:07: David Pauley vs. Kyle Drabek
Thu Sep 19, 09:37: Felix Hernandez vs. Shawn Hill
I think these games are supposed to start at reasonable minute times, but something got lost in the exchange rate.
I spelled Rzepczynski's surname correctly on the first try but spelled his first name Mark instead of Marc. It felt like hitting a perfect landing at the Olympics and then tripping over one of the TV cables. The 24-year-old lefty doesn't have much experience in the Majors yet, just over 100 innings pitched. He so far has appeared average at missing bats and above average at getting ground balls but cannot find the strike zone often enough. Probably because his fastball is really poor.
Huh, Kyle Drabek is up? That seems fast. And it is fast because Drabek was drafted in 2006 out of high school and is just 22 years old with no time spent in Triple-A. This will be his second ever Major League game. He throws a 93mph fastball and works in a high-80s slider and low-80s curve ball. Lacking good scouting reports and video on their stuff, new pitchers usually have an advantage over established hitters. As if anyone needed more help against Mariner bats.
Shawn Hill might be better off just using his fastball and change up. Your breaking pitches are terrible, Shawn.
