With a couple clubs taking the day off and one seeing weather suspend their game, we're a little light on coverage, which is fine because the games today were a little light on drama.
I agree with Jason Churchill on Mike Wilson: the club should call him up to AAA, and even eventually give him a cup of coffee in the bigs, to challenge him and see if his inconsistent power bat could ever help the M's, because he's starting to reach the tail end of his youth, and he's going nowhere mashing the crap out of AA pitching. The oversized OF rotation in Tacoma is an issue (and I'll need to take a closer look when I get time but I'm still unsure who got bumped now that they've transitioned WLAD in), but if at a loss as to who to send off, you could always powerflush Jimerson since he and Wilson swing similar bats (though Jimerson does have basepath and outfield speed).
You'll have a better idea after reading why I even bring this up. On to the wrap-up!
VENEZUELA~! VSL Cardinals 10, VSL Mariners 5, 10 innings

This is Manuel Campos' fault. 5 baserunners, 5 runs, without allowing a hit. All 5 reached on free passes, 2 plunks and 3 walks.
Dominican: DSL Phillies 6, DSL Mariners 3
DSLMs: 15-5... DSL Phils: 7-11
(League: 233/338/323... 3.77 ERA)

Angel Zapata: 2-5, R, RBI, K
Janelfry Zorrilla: 1-4, RBI, 2 K
The Phils got to Anthony Fernandez early, and beta down Enriqur Rosario in the 5th for 3 runs, putting this game effectively out of reach.
Rk-AZL: Mariners 7, Brewers 5
(League: 254/338/388... 4.09 ERA)
Ariel Alcantara: 5 IP, 4 H, 2 ER, 2 walks, 9 K

James Davenport: 1-5, double, R, RBI, 2 K
Joel Mendez: 2-4, double, R, RBI
Robert Rodriguez: 1-3, double, R, 2 RBI, walk
The AZLMs launched a comeback from 3-0 down in the 6th, taking a 4-3 lead with help from two fielding errors, a wild pitch and back to back XBHs from Alfredo Mateo and James Davenport. The Little Brew Crew retook the lead 5-4 in the 7th, but the AZLMs took the lead for good in the bottom half with a Joel mendez single followed by a double from red-hot Robert Rodriguez.
Rk+: Pulaski 3, Burlington Royals 1
(League: 260/337/390... 4.26 ERA)
Brooks Mohr: 5 IP, 2 H, 3 walks, 2 K
Nick Czyz: 2 IP, 1 H, 1 ER, 2 walks, 3 K, hit batter
Brandon Pullen: 2 IP, 2 H, 2 K
Anthony Phillips: 2-3, walk, K
Mario Martinez: 1-4, RBI, K
Kalian Sams: 2-4, 2 run HR, K
Kalian Sams gave the PMs all the offense they needed, as the Royals had little going against an unimposing PMs pitching staff. Wildness from Nick Czyz was the closest they came to staging any sort of significant rally.
A-: Boise 4, Everett 3
Bobby LaFromboise: 5 IP, 3 H, walk, 4 K
Steven Hensley: 2.1 IP, 4 H, (3 R) 2 ER, 2 walks, 3 K
Eddy Fernandez: no outs recorded, (1 R) 0 ER

Mark Pettis: 1 IP, walk, K
Kevin Reynolds: 2-4, double, R, RBI
Nate Tenbrink: 0-1, sac fly RBI, walk
Travis Howell: 2-4, RBI
Bobby LaFromboise's 2nd start went way better than the 1st, but Steven Hensley's shaky relief outing in his stead fell apart in the 8th, giving Boise the lead and, ultimately, the win.
A: Wisconsin's game with Cedar Rapids was suspended due to rain in the 6th, with the T-Rats leading a shootout 12-11. They'll try to finish it today. FWIW, Denny Almonte was having a monster game, Nathan Adcock had not, and Joe Kantakevich took a pretty bad beatdown in relief.
A+: The Mavs last day of the All Star Break is today. Mavs All-Star rep Aaron Cotter did the Mavs proud, striking out two of the three batters he retired in the Cal League-Carolina League game in Myrtle Beach, SC.
AA: Tennessee 6, West Tenn 3
(League: 261/340/394... 4.17 ERA)
Travis Chick: 4.1 IP, 7 H, 6 ER (HR), 4 walks, 2 K, 2 hit batters (20 app, 4 GS, 4.67 ERA, 54 IP, 4 HR, 26/42 BB/K

Mumba Rivera: 1 IP, 1 H, walk, K (28 app, 2.51 ERA, 32.1 IP, 1 HR, 11/35 BB/K)
Mike Wilson: 2-4, solo HR, 2 run HR (270/354/566)
Johan Limonta: 2-3, K (294/389/469)
The Mike Wilson Show was all the DIAMOND JAXX could muster at the plate, with all 3 West tenn runs coming via his 2 jacks, while Travis Chick got bombed in the 1st for 4 runs and got chased in a 2 run 5th inning.
AAA: We end the Wrap-Up with a whimper. The Rainiers had Wednesday off. They begin a home series with Salt Lake tonight.
