Note: Erik Bedard --> DL, retroactive to April 9th. Eligible to come back next Thursday. Corresponding roster move to be announced tomorrow. This is me drained of emotion.

I don't have anything interesting to say about a matchup between John Bale and Miguel Batista, so instead I'll point out that in 7.1 innings in AA, Brandon Morrow has walked six batters. If Adrian Beltre has First Order strikeouts, Brandon Morrow has First Order walks. He doesn't pitch around the zone to certain hitters because he's trying to stay out of their wheelhouse; he pitches around the zone to certain hitters because he doesn't have the slightest idea of how to consistently stay in the strike zone. This pick is not working out like I hoped it would. In retrospect I wish I would have lobbied for Lincecum at the time so I could gloat about how right I was, but just because you were wrong doesn't mean you can't point out when people were wronger.

In brighter news on the farm, Small Sample Size Jeff Clement is flipping out. So we have that going for us.

LET'S GO MARINERS!!
