With 77 runs in 21 games, the Oakland A's are on pace to cross the plate all of 594 times this season. Thanks to an even more stingy pitching staff, they're tied for first place. I don't know if that's totally awesome or comically pathetic, but I'll give them this - fast boring always beats the snot out of slow boring. The amount of time it takes the Yankees to reach the seventh inning stretch could get you through an M's/A's doubleheader.
