Cruceta (0-0, 6.75)         Hudson (7-5, 5.25)

The Red Sox and Yankees have been washed out by rain tonight, so the nation's eyes will be focused squarely on Kauffman Stadium, where Luke Hudson and the Royals look to keep the visitors from extending their stirring win streak to one game. Fighting the good fight will be Francisco Cruceta, who eyewitnesses claim has thrown a strike before but who also may not be able to hold up under the pressure of making his Seattle starting debut in front of literally dozens of hostile fans. This is the moment he's dreamed about in his backyard ever since he was a little boy in La Vega with a baseball made of onion peels and a pocket full of dreams, but will he be able to strike out Andres Blanco with the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth like he always imagined? I'm quaking in anticipation.

LET'S GO MARINERS!
