Rather than sitting home and watch the Mariners lose today, I drove up to Vancouver BC to catch up with a friend who's leaving the area on Tuesday. So instead, I got to listen to the Mariners lose on the radio. I figured I'd just listen while I drove up until I lost the signal, but get this: I never lost the signal. 140 miles from home and I could still hear the Mariners sucking over the air.
Jake Woods turned in one hell of a performance today. Chris Snelling is showing everyone what an on-base machine he can be. Also, apparently, the TV broadcast listed him as Doyle in their score recaps, which is pretty funny.
J.J.Putz had a meltdown of epic proportions, and the Mariners lost their 20th straight divisional game. Fortunately, at least if they lose to the Yankees on Tuesday, it'll just be their 12th straight normal loss, not adding to the other streak.
I've already lost too much sleep this weekend on this stuff, so we'll call it a "You Write The Recap" night, and I'll write something else tomorrow during the off-day to keep you all entertained.
