There are a couple things I want to talk about, but I think I'll be better equipped to tackle them in the morning before I leave on my trip, when I won't be as flustered, sleepy, and irritable. So that's exactly what I'm going to do. MLB.tv not loading and the whole SportsBlogs network having server problems aren't exactly brightening my mood.

Ellis homered for the second time in three games with a three-run shot as the A's matched the 1974 Atlanta Braves for the longest winning streak against a division opponent since divisional play started in 1969, according to the Elias Sports Bureau. The Braves won 15 straight versus the San Diego Padres that year.

Yet Oakland has had a longer winning streak against one opponent, getting 16 straight victories against the New York Yankees from Sept. 9, 1989, through May 1, 1991. (Yahoo!)

This is really happening. This is our reality. Thank goodness we don't all live in Anaheim, because then life just wouldn't be worth living.

Back in the morning at some point for a quick post, then it's all Deanna through Monday. Be good.
