Minor League Wrap-Up: 6/7/05

Only two games tonight.

Frisco obliterated San Antonio, 13-0. This will be the Missions' most forgettable game of the season. Thomas Oldham got the start and was shelled like a peanut as he lasted only 4.2 innings giving up ten runs (but only five earned, thanks defense) on ten hits while walking one and fanning four. Philip Wilson came in to help only to watch himself get lit up as well. Only three San Antonio batters reached base all night in the pathetic, drawn out affair.

Notables:

Thomas Oldham: 4.2 IP, 10 H, 10 R, 5 ER, 1 BB, 4 K, 1 HR.
Jamie Bubela: 1-4.
Jesus Guzman: 0-4.
T.J. Bohn: 1-2.
Jesse Hoorelbeke: 0-2, 1 BB.

Stockton had no problems with Inland Empire beating them 9-3. The 66'ers came out gunning and scored two in the top of the first but Jason Mackintosh decided he didn't like have the lead and he went out and handed it right back in the bottom of the frame. Mackintosh finished up with 5.2 unimpressive innings as he allowed five runs (three earned) on six hits while walking five and striking out three. Michael Garciaparra continues to swing well this season and added two more doubles to his numbers to lead the offense.

Notables:

Jason Mackintosh: 5.2 IP, 6 H, 5 R, 3 ER, 5 BB, 3 K.
Michael Garciaparra: 2-4, 2 2B, 1 BB.
Matt Rogelstad: 1-3, 1 RBI.
Adam Jones: 0-2, 1 BB, 1 RBI.

Carlos Arroyo: 2-4, 1 RBI.
