Mariners/Padres, take two. There's a reasonable chance that I get overwhemled by my violent hatred of our bitter rivals and kill a guy at the stadium tonight.

Big Mike Morse fan? Get ready for a lot more of him. Which is good for two reasons: one, it gives him more experience as a shortstop at the Major League level, and two, it allows him to regress to his actual level of performance, which should keep the Mariners from doing something stupid like guaranteeing him the job in 2006. Anyhoo, Darrell May's a homer-prone flyball lefty in the perfect pitching environment, and Richie Sexson's out for tonight's game, so it's entirely possible that the Mariners fail to take advantage of May's biggest weakness. As for Meche, if you blend his run-prevention from June 14th and his K/BB from June 19th, you've got yourself a damn good pitcher. Hope for that.
LET'S GO MARINERS!
