This game went too late for me to write a recap, so let's just go straight to the chart:

Biggest Contribution: Richie Sexson, +45.9%
Biggest Suckfest: Ichiro, -33.2%
Most Important Hit: Morse single, +45.4%
Most Important Pitch: Byrnes double, -32.4%
Total Contribution by Pitchers: +1.1%
Total Contribution by Hitters: +26.8%

The bottom line: the Mariners got big hits when they needed to, while the A's stranded 13 runners as a team and had to rely on Ryan friggin' Glynn to hold a 12th-inning lead. It was a fantastic up-and-down game in the later innings, with the Mariners seeing their win expectancy drop all the way down to 3.6% when Kotsay singled in the top of the ninth. They dipped back down to 10.4% when Mike Morse was retired to lead off the 12th, but we all know what happened after that. Special thanks go to Bobby Crosby for trying to catch with his sternum on what might have been a game-ending double play.

All in all, a boring game turned exciting rollercoaster, enough to keep the M's out of last place. The rest of the recap is up to you guys. What did you notice? What got under your skin? Did Hargrove get lucky?
