Las Vegas routed Tacoma, 11-1. Damian Moss obviously wasn't effective in this one as he lasted only 4.2 innings giving up seven runs on seven hits while walking five and striking out four. You can chalk some of Moss' problems up to giving up the long ball as he served up two meatballs that left the park. Chris Snelling was back in line-up and managed two hits as did Justin Leone and Greg Dobbs who was at first base tonight.
Damian Moss: 4.2 IP, 7 H, 7 ER, 4 BB, 5 K, 2 HR.
Jamal Strong: 1-5.
Chris Snelling: 2-4.
Ryan Christianson: 1-3, 1 2B, 1 BB.
Miguel Olivo: 0-4.
Justin Leone: 2-3, 1 2B, 1 BB.
Greg Dobbs: 2-4.
Ramontiago: 1-3, 1 RBI.
Stockton topped Inland Empire in a barnburner, 16-11. 27 runs, 34 hits, 5 errors. One helluva game. Stockton jumped out to a 9-0 lead by the third. The 66'ers pressed on and chipped away ever so slowly before closing the gap to 11-8 by the seventh. Stockton then exploded for five more runs in the eighth making the IE 3-run bottom half useless. Speaking of useless, how about Ryan Feierabend tonight? He wasn't in there long as he was yanked after the third having given up nine runs (four earned...thanks defense) on eleven hits. Feierabend only walked one and struck out three but gave up a homer to Vasili Spanos (Name of the Year Nominee). As for the Inland Empire offense, where do you begin? Six players had multi-hit nights as Matt Rogelstad, Bryan Lahair and Wladimir Balentien all had three hits apiece with Balentien homering. Despite the 17 hits, IE only had two XBH's all night.
Ryan Feierabend: 3.0 IP, 11 H, 9 R, 4 ER, 1 BB, 3 K, 1 HR.
Little Garciaparra: 2-4, 2 BB, 4 R, 1 RBI.
Matt Rogelstad: 3-6, 2 RBI.
Adam Jones: 2-4, 3 RBI.
Bryan Lahair: 3-5, 1 RBI.
Wladimir Balentien: 3-5, 1 HR, 3 RBI.
Michael Nesbit: 2-5, 1 3B.
