Reyes SS                    Winn LF
Beltran CF                  Beltre 3B
Floyd LF                    Sexson 1B
Piazza C                    Ibanez DH
Daubach DH                  Lopez 2B
Wright 3B                   Reed CF
Mientkiewicz 1B             Morse SS
Woodward RF                 Rivera C

----------                  ----------

Glavine (4-6, 4.55)         Meche (6-4, 4.38)

It's the matchup of almost statistically identical pitchers! Although their styles are different, their results have been similar so far - neither guy has struck out many hitters or allowed many home runs, and they've walked enough to put the K/BB dangerously close to 1.00. There's a good chance that Adrian Beltre's back in the lineup today, but that probably won't help very much, as he's just been owned by Glavine for his career (6-32, 1 2B, 1 BB). If you hate offense, today might be a good day for you - the Mariners have a .685 team OPS against lefties, and the Mets have a .700 team OPS against righties. Let the feeble pitcher's duel begin!

LET'S GO MARINERS!
