Tacoma got by Nashville, 5-1. Excellent job by the Rainier pitching staff in this one. Damian Moss took the hill and went five effective though extremely wild (6 BB) innings giving up one run on three hits. Jeff Heaverlo then came in and did something he seemingly hasn't done for a few seasons: not give up a run. Heaverlo was as solid as we've seen him this year going three innings giving up only one hit with two walks. George Sherrill polished it off by striking out the side in the ninth. Chris Snelling continues to pummel the ball as he collected another three baseknocks and Hunter Brown and Ramon Santiago also had multi-hit efforts.

Inland Empire beat High Desert, 9-5. Slap-hitting, sloppy game as both teams combined for 28 hits (21 singles) and 7 errors. Ryan Feierabend got the start for the 66'ers and wasn't exactly an example for good pitching. Feierabend lasted the minimum and an out giving up four runs (three earned) on nine hits while walking three and fanning four. Five IE players had multi-hit nights including Michael Nesbit, Bryan Lahair, Wladimir Balentien, Carlos Arroyo and B.J. Garbe.

Wisconsin blanked Clinton to complete the organization sweep, 4-0. Mark Lowe pitched four innings of no-hit ball before reaching what must have been a pretty low pitch limit.
