On Wednesday, John Sickels previewed the top college hitters in the nation.
Alex Gordon, who is currently hitting .398/.553/.754, topped the list, which seems to be the going trend. Gordon has established himself as one of, if not the top player in this year's draft. He has apparently has employed the services of IMG and a possible position switch in his future could possibly scare off the Diamondbacks and Royals. The chances of him falling to the M's appear to be dwindling by the day, but stranger things have happened. Just last year Jered Weaver and Stephen Drew were projected to be top five picks yet fell to 12th and 15th, respectively.
