Tacoma got by Salt Lake, 6-3. Rich Dorman went five innings and while not dominating, wasn't downright awful either. South Bend routed Wisconsin, 11-2. There is no easy, sugar-coated was to say this: Mark Lowe, you got your ass handed to you. Lowe lasted a whole 2.2 IP and in those two and two-third magical innings Lowe was touched up for nine runs (eight earned) on ten hits. At one point he was standing on the mound waiting around for the hidden cameras to expose themselves and Ashton Kutcher to come flailing out to tell him he'd been punk'd. The Timber Rattlers weren't a whole lot better on the offensive side as Wisconsin collected only six hits, two of which came from the bat of Thomas Hubbard.
Notables:
Mark Lowe: 2.2 IP, 10 H, 9 R, 8 ER, 1 BB, 2 K, 1 HR.
Oswaldo Navarro: 0-4.
