Minor League Wrap-Up: 4/26/05

The offense continued as Tacoma beat up on Colorado Springs, 13-9. Chris Snelling is officially on fire. Snelling went 5-6 with a double and a homer while driving in four. Unstoppable. Andrew Lorraine's start really wasn't half-bad as he went six innings giving up a couple runs on six hits. Jeff Heaverlo continues to get smashed as he didn't record an out this evening and gave up another six earned runs. Ryan Christianson finally made an out, too.

Notables:

Jeff Heaverlo: 0.0 IP, 5 H, 6 ER, 1 BB, 0 K. (Demotion time?)

Midland stomped San Antonio, 13-3. Ryan Rowland-Smith wasn't effective and was knocked out by the Rock Hound offense in the third after giving up four runs on five hits with four walks. However, of the seven outs he did record, five were strikeouts...so take the good with the bad. T.J. Bohn knocked in two and Jon Nelson doubled in a relative off-night for the Mission batters.

Inland Empire is still battling Visalia in the 12th and just took a one-run lead. On to the bottom.

No box yet, but Beloit outlasted Wisconsin in extras to take a 5-3 victory. Trevor Plouffe hit the game-winning single in the top of the 11th.
