Tacoma lost to Sacramento, 6-3. Rich Dorman put the Rainiers in a 5-0 hole before the fourth inning was over, and they couldn't manage a comeback against John Rheinecker. Aaron Rifkin and Hunter Brown each had two hits in a losing cause. Notables:

Mumba Rivera started with an effective five innings, and Craig James picked up the W with two scoreless innings of relief. Brandon Green had three hits, as he tries to bust out of a nasty slump.
