Moyer (2-0, 2.50) Gregg (1-0, 5.40)
This is just the fifth start of Kevin Gregg's Major League career, spanning three seasons. He has pretty good control but not much endurance, so the key will be knocking him out of the game by the sixth inning, presenting the opportunity to hit against "Anaheim"s weaker relievers before Donnelly, Rodriguez and Shields become potential factors. For Moyer, he's currently riding an 18-inning homerless streak that I'd just love to see hold up for another six or seven innings today. His toughest task, obviously, will be keeping Vlad Guerrero in the park, but the Angels lineup isn't otherwise stocked with much power. A well-located changeup that induces weakly-hit balls in play will be the key to this one, because the alternative is seeing "Anaheim" do to Moyer fastballs what it did to Sele fastballs yesterday.
LET'S GO MARINERS!
