Minor League Wrap-Up: 4/15/05

Tacoma's home opener last night was rained out, so they'll play two on Sunday. Dan Reichert will take the hill tonight at 9:05pm EDT.

San Antonio fell to Midland, 7-2. It was a close game until the Rockhounds put up four runs against Sean Green in the bottom of the eighth. Jesse Hoorelbeke hit a solo home run, but the Missions couldn't manage much offense to support Tom Oldham. Nick Bourgeois will start tonight's game at 8:30. Notables:

Betancourt-Perez: 0-4
Bohn: 1-4, 1 3B

Inland Empire lost to Modesto, 5-2. Wladimir Balentien hit his fourth home run of the season, but it wasn't enough for the 66ers as Shawn Nottingham allowed four runs in three innings in his first high-A appearance. Balentien and Matt Rogelstad each had two hits. It looks like Jason Mackintosh gets the start at 10:11 tonight. Notables:

Wisconsin pounded Peoria, 14-2. The T'Rattlers jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first and scored another five in the second, knocking Darin Downs out of the game before he knew what hit him. The run support gave Jason Snyder an easy win as he cruised for five innings. Mike Wison led the way with three hits, and everyone in the Wisconsin starting lineup had at least one hit on the night. Rob Johnson had the only home run, a three-run shot in the first. Casey Abrams gets the start tonight. Notables:
