Minor League Wrap-Up: 4/10/05

Tacoma slipped by Fresno, 5-3. After an early Brian Dallimore solo homerun, Joel Pineiro settled down to pitch six pain-free, effective innings giving up only that one run on five hits while striking out six. Kit Pellow and Aaron Rifkin both homered to lead the offense and better-than-Thornton Dan Reichert blew the save in the 8th but picked up the win in the 9th.

San Antonia shutout and swept away Corpus Christi, 2-0. Nick Bourgeois opened his season with an great showing as he went six shutout innings surrendering only two hits and a couple of walks while fanning six. Despite twelve Mission hits (10 singles), the offense could only muster two runs.

Wisconsin blasted Peoria, 12-3. Hooray for contact! Ron Johnson banged out four hits and both ung Chi Chen and Michael Wilson went yard as it was a tough day to be a Chiefs' pitcher. Casey Abrams got the nod and went the minimum for the win.
