After an early Brian Dallimore solo homerun, Joel Pineiro settled down to pitch six pain-free, effective innings giving up only that one run on five hits while striking out six. Kit Pellow and Aaron Rifkin both homered to lead the offense and better-than-Thornton Dan Reichert blew the save in the 8th but picked up the win in the 9th.
