4/10: Open Game Thread

Because it's never too early to forget about yesterday. There's been some chatter about Wee Willie getting a start today; if so, will he be giving Wilson Valdez a day off, or will he spend nine innings reminding us that Bret Boone really isn't that bad?

Texas Rangers @ Seattle Mariners

Starting lineups:

Texas:

Soriano 2B
Blalock 3B
Young SS
Teixeira 1B
Hidalgo RF
Dellucci LF
Matthews Jr. CF
Gonzalez DH
Barajas C

Drese SP

Seattle:

Ichiro RF
Reed CF
Beltre 3B
Sexson 1B
Boone 2B
Ibanez DH
Winn LF
Wilson C
Bloomquist! SS

Meche SP

4:05pm EST start time, the last home game until Wednesday the 20th. Ryan Drese's the guy who gave up Ichiro's record-breaking 258th hit last year, and his groundball prone-ness could and should lead to the sixth two-hit day for our right fielder in six games. As for Meche, he gave up five runs in five innings in his first start against Texas last year, then finished the season giving up three in six. Will he keep the M's close, or will Texas jump on him early and force the Mariners to press for runs?

LET'S GO MARINERS!
