Here's Your Snelling Update

Thanks to MFanInAlaska for finding this link:

PEORIA, Ariz. -- Injury-prone outfielder Chris Snelling of the Seattle Mariners will undergo surgery Wednesday to repair a torn medial meniscus in his left knee, the team announced Monday.

Snelling, 23, is expected to be out about six weeks following the cartilage surgery.

It's the same knee in which Snelling suffered a torn ACL during the 2001 season (Jeff's note: it was 2002).

If there's a good side, it's that this shouldn't cause him to miss much action in the regular season, but...let's be honest. Who didn't see this coming?

It's hard to believe the guy is still only 23 years old (which is a testament to just how good of a prospect he used to be), but he's not far away from becoming the position player equivalent of our very own Ryan Anderson.
