Baseball Reference Pages

Heh.  Anyone got $1240?  If so, you can write a nice message to Derek Jeter, and let the world and everyone read it by sponsoring his Baseball-Reference.Com page!

I'm not affiliated with them in any way, so don't delete this as an "advertisement" for their site.  But I think all of use use quite frequently, and find that site extremely useful.  I hope this isn't a conflict of intrest having this here in the diaries, but nevertheless I thought folks would have fun discussing it.

That said, there are several players available. Felix, Yu-Bet, and Mike Morse are all newbies, so to get a jump on them, you'll have to shell out $60 to get them.  But at the $15 level, you can have guys like Heathcliff Slocumb, Rex Hudler, Mark Maclemore, and Ryan "Flyball" Franklin!  Hey -- if you act now, you can even sponsor Eddie Gaedel -- the Bill Veeck midget who, with extra help of having a 1 and 1/2 inch strike zone, walked in his only at-bat (wearing jersey number 1/8).

I've already claimed George Sherrill (sorry, elsid, but I didn't think you'd mind!), but there are several other guys available.  Even some HOF'ers.

If you don't have a blog or a web site to attach, then why not sponsor a page in honor of Lookout Landing?  Or maybe not.  On second thought, I'm quite certain that Jeff, Devin, and Trent would have a coronary if Ryan Franklin's, Matt Thornton's, or even Adrian Beltre's Baseball Reference pages had any sort of attachment to Lookout Landing...
