Mike Hargrove wants to Manage again
From ESPN:
Mike Hargrove wants another shot at managing in the major leagues.
A little over a year ago, Hargrove shocked baseball by walking away from the Seattle Mariners, becoming the first manager since 1900 to resign as his team was on an eight-game winning streak.
A day before being inducted into the Cleveland Indians Hall of Fame, Hargrove said he'd like to give it another go."I'd like to have one more chance, without a doubt," the 58-year-old said Friday night at Progressive Field before the Indians played the Los Angeles Angels.
"It really would have to be the right place -- and the team that did it would have to believe I wouldn't walk away."
Are you kidding me? I still don't get why you left the Mariners. Seriously, who leaves a team with a winning record on the verge of the playoffs? It boggles my mind.

Ibanez takes pride in his defense
Headline taken from the Mariners' website:
Ibanez takes pride in defenseHere is are some highlight quotes:
He has a .285 career batting average, 171 home runs and 743 RBIs.
But there is another part of his game that goes mostly under the radar -- his defense.
"I take great pride in my defense," said Ibanez prior to Saturday's game against the Indians. "There are two sides to this game, and defense, to me, is a huge responsibility. Not only are you responsible for your job on the field for the team, but also for the guys on the mound. They depend on you. They need you to do your job."
