Big Hurt Available

Toronto cut Frank Thomas today.  Had he reached 376 PAs he would have triggered a $10 million option for 2009.

He has bad numbers through 60 ABs .167/.306/.333

Hey, he'd be more useful than Miguel Cairo.

Return of the Player A

SIgns a minor league deal with the Braves. He has to go to court on April 7 to face charges of DUI, leaving the scene of an accident, and assault (he beat up his friend trying to help him, hahahaha). He faces 2 years in state prison, but apparently the Braves aren't concerned.

Here's to Player A succeeding falling flat on his face with the Braves.

Lenny Dykstra is playing for REAL MONEY

http://youtube.com/watch?v=m-b8OAJYpkk

Pretty funny. I like the part where he says, "These guy make 10 million dollars, you pay your agent, pay taxes, buy a nice house, help the family out, now you got your dick in your hand."

Well said Lenny, well said.

Help with San Antonio

Hey all,
I'm not really a Spurs fan, I'm just a kid drivin home from college.  I'm going to be going through San Antonio this weekend on my way home.  I've never been there, and I figured I'd ask people from San Antonio about the city.

I know this isn't very basketball related, I've been kind of down on basketball since my team is about to move.  But if you could give an outsider a glimpse of what to do, what to see, where to go on Saturday nights, and anything else you think would be helpful that would be great.

I also am going to book a hotel for the night, and I want to be somewhere close to the nightlife (I think the riverwalk is the best place??).  Any suggestions for cheap hotels in that area would be great.  Thanks.
