LL Softball Photos - New and Improved! Plus voting!

Since so much recap has been covered in the previous diary, I'll mostly post these photos without comment. Also I don't know most of your names guys!

I had a great time, and wish we could have had a couple more folks out there. Let's do it again. Me and District will have to vie for slugging% bragging rights.

Sorry if I didn't get pics of everyone... it was hard to be pitcher, team captain, catcher for the opposing team and photographer all in one... especially after my camera batteries died. Too bad Positive Paul wasn't there to photograph!

Camomilk gets the ball in to his cut off man.

Gomez spent a lot of time chasing deep drives to right in the second game.

Garces looks like he knows what he's doing out there!

Notice I still have my keys and my wristwatch on when batting. Who the hell do I think I am?

Also, take that picture of me running after the ball, repeat it about 6-7 times and you have a pretty good idea of my range in RF.

i thought so too.

try having no coordination, fielding a grounder, trying to keep your foot on the bag and then bobbling it, then snagging it in mid-air barehanded. That must have looked ugly

really need to get some real pants and cleats. No wonder why Gomez couldn't get it out of the infield, his keys were always in the way. Sorry I missed the fun but thanks for the recaps!

Yeah

If I knew I'd be playing softball with any regularity, I'd have gotten some cleats long ago.

The pants, though, are no excuse on my part. I have sweat pants... I just didn't think to wear them.

It was awesome to meet a few of you folks. It's too bad Red couldn't be there... we could have used some more mojo! And maybe we can get Paul there to photograph... And someone to keep score. The first game was so close, it would have been cool to have seen the winning % breakdown for each at bat! Maybe next time we could also open it up more to co-ed? As it stands only Katal's awesome sweetheart was woman enough to hang out with us!

Man, I wish I could convince my wife to move closer to the city. I would LOVE to live in Seattle, but she hates city life, so that's not going to happen any time soon. I can definitely tell, both in these pix and in the recap, that y'all had about as much fun as a funk blast!

I suck at softball, so, yeah, I'd be honored to be the official photog if I can make it. But I'm clearly not the only one w/photog skills -- these really capture the event well!

Since the M's are a playoff team right now, I'm not gonna boo nobody. Not even Johnny Mac. Maybe Bavasi, but no players. I suggest y'all do the same!

His friend David was a lefty bat

and a big one. There was another guy who batted lefty... refresh my memory on his name. He was pretty funny... he was the guy who came out as the 4th OF, and on one long drive he just threw his glove at it for the hell of it to try and stop it, and on another long drive he laid on the grass and kicked back as MitD ran after it.

My HTML skills did not import from blogger.com to Lookout Landing. If anyone can do it, it would be cool to get the photos lined up correctly with the text below the pic, and maybe get names (or logins) on the shots of folks I didn't know.

SB Nation's HTML is weird. If it can't auto format your post or if your posting settings are set to HTML formatting, it just scrunches everything together and you have to manually code it.

But it's alright. I put in paragraph tags and now it looks better.
