Should be good for five innings, six tops. Took 94 pitches to get through seven innings of the M's lineup last time, and that was WITH Batista getting lit up for eight runs. Think the A's light up Felix like that?

And you saw how the game ran away from them as soon as they brought in the bullpen. Too many of their relievers are out of action to make that thing a strength.

he didn't throw all fastballs in the 1st, I don't think it was the Felix we saw against Oakland and Boston in April, but then again those were two of the best starts by any pitcher all season.

It will be interesting to see

if K-Rod comes back out and if he does, how he looks.. he threw 20 pitches in the first inning of relief - 1 run might not be TOO hard to scratch across on a tired pitcher who struggles with command at times

Felix and the Internet

If you missed it, go into the radio archive tomorrow and look for Shannon Dreyer's post-game interview. The whole Internet discussion, between Felix and the broadcast crew, goes on for about 5 minutes. It's worth a botle of Cuervo Gold.
Chavez cuts in saying they've been trying to hammer the same idea into Felix's head for a while, but a fan in the stands passed him a printout from an Internet site, and he thought it might reinforce the message, passed the message to Felix, who basicallly said "I read you". And then he did what he did tonight.

Confuckinggratulations to Dave or whoever wrote the post that triggered this. Who it was was, fortunately, not named in the broadcast. Everyone rejoice.
