Today we celebrate our nation's independence by reflecting on our subjugation at the hands of the imperialist kingdom of Kansas City. We've already declared our autonomy by spurning one royal family; it's time to do it again.
LET'S GO MARINERS!!

We need to Drive the Royals Insurgency
And sadly, I had to go check out Royals Review to get the city name, because I forgot it.

Tyrannical oppression
Will there be a lantern in the press box? 1 if by the dugout, 2 if by the bullpen.
And also:
Playoff spots aren't free, gentlemen.

Ahhh...Vidro followed by Ibanez
I hope the Anti-Rivera gets his first FB tonight. That would be a sweet 4th of July present.
Take down the "Fire Mclaren" diary!
Do we care about him?
Billy Butler in centerfield?

Who says English is the easiest to learn?
People I've talked to who are from
You've never met any Vietnamese folks, then...
A thought
I don't know.
Or, is it?
I don't drink Jeff.
Do I have to?
How am I being "unamerican"?

I'd say about a short
Haha. Gload blew it.
Ibanez almost completely sucked it up.
nice start
don't have long to watch this game, so come on boys score a ton and leave my mind at ease.
Dave lies
I thought he got 1 out.
I am amazed that he even pitched last night.
I really don't care how he did. just that he did something in an actual game.

I'm at work and completely forgot it was July 4th.

4th of july
Plus KC

If the M's were going for 11 in a row; I'm sure more folks would be here.

Or, did they?
I need to get a life too.
I'm probably the only one who's going to
Nah.
Usually I really start to comment when the season is going down the drain and the comment threads are dying.
I'll be here today, so don't worry. You've got company.
It just seems that you're disappearing
Ain't seen nothing yet.

seems like wash is getting squeezed
why the hell is Emil Brown hitting 4th...
Because Sweeney is hurt.
that's not really an excuse...
They should slot in anyone else into the 4th spot.
And Buddy Bell's just mad that
This FSN music for today
When I worked in the casino cage at Bally's
haha, I do that all the time at work
I still have 10 M 80's left from 4 years ago

I don't think so
We'll have another crooked number up there before this one is done.
by TheMarinator on Jul 4, 2007 6:01 PM PDT up reply actions
one of the great weaknesses
work the count.
they seemed to pick that up during that winning streak. they were walking more regularly, fouling off and stressing the pitcher.
Exactley.
Broussard looks really put out haha
by TheMarinator on Jul 4, 2007 6:02 PM PDT reply actions
Well, who would you rather have catch
Anyone but Broussard

The cheapest thing about that commercial?
Ah! Just like his dad, who walked
nice grab...turbo?!
but as Dave said at USS it is encouraging they are willing to find new roles for him other than DH.
But as a first baseman
i've got 10 minutes
then i'm off to a BBQ.
go M's...don't fuck it up.
Hmmm.
I blame it on too much grill gas. Mmmm. Ribs...
The Cingular commercial with the neurotic mother
... when the dad huffs at the end, I'm curious. Is he huffing because he's agitated that his son is arguing with his mother, or is he huffing about his wife being such a neurotic, uptight bitch?
He's huffing

Okay
But I'm gonna get some food and will be right back.
can't tell
So, Jeff, I know why you like the Senators,
I don't root for the home team.
by Jeff Sullivan on Jul 4, 2007 6:35 PM PDT up reply actions
raul looks terrible
he's basically a sure out right now.
i know, he's mr mariner. but do you want to contend or not?
Who's to say Adam Jones is going to hit?
I know he's got to come up and be a regular sometime, but I think it's crazy to predict that he will automatically be a .800-.1000 OPS guy when he does come up.
The only sure thing I see that Adam Jones brings to the club right now is an upgrade at LF.
by TheMarinator on Jul 4, 2007 6:42 PM PDT up reply actions
i'm not arguing
i think that he's a big upgrade in LF and with the way Raul is playing (hurt) he can't be much worse offensively.
plus its about time we gave him some big league experience.
if his performance tanks, we can always go back to what we have.
Good thing this is KC
Riske's a bad name for any player.
Grant Balfour is funnier.
Now that my ribs are gone...
Pardon me while I pop in the Fawlty Towers movie and down some German beer.
Mmm. Delish.
Heh.
I thought for a second that Sims was going to talk about a rally rack or something...

I am not convinced Dave Sims knows what a rally is.

Dang.
Mac gets his first official win as the non-substitute manager. Good on him. Can't wait for his postgame interview. He'll have a smile and a shaving creme pie...
