Shit, I'll take a flyer on Bryan LaHair if it comes to that. But, really, we could go 'what if he gets hurt' for everybody in baseball. Are you gonna hold onto and start all your albatrosses because you fear their replacements getting injured?
It's the baseball equivalent of fearing bird flu.
If you throw out
now that doesn't mean I want him starting still.. at the same time, there's no reason to just dump him either for nothing.
by MfaninAlaska on Jul 29, 2007 5:01 PM PDT up reply actions
Like hell there isn't....
Even getting half of it off of the books would be a steal. Doesn't matter one bit what you get in return.
That's money that can be better spent elsewhere.
If you had a deal...
I wouldn't.
a tribute...

Jeff, can't wait to see the Win Expectancy chart..
i like how "Reitsma Time" is a line with
conclusion:
Reitsma is asymptotic
Way to defend Richie
well, all he said was
How?
McLaren is quickly reaching the Bob Melvin stage of petty fan hatred.
uhm
mac went out argued with the guy and got sexson away from the ump so sexson couldnt accidently bump the ump an get a suspension. what else was he really supposed to do? beat the shit outta the ump? find his car in the parking lot and slash the tires? call in a bomb threat on his hotel? what do you suggest should have happened?
uhhhhh....
Notice the word "petty" in my original comment.
Let me clarify..I realize I didn't earlier
mocked the umps call...
He walked at Richie before Richie even said a word (the OF camera showed that Richie kinda went "ohhhh").
I just thought the umpire was far from professional like Mac said he was
This is by far....
This was a classic case of that. Richie didn't say a word to that clown. He simply didn't like the look on Richie's face and confronted him about it.
It was a real petty move on the ump's part. They need to be held accountable for their actions and they never are.
I agree with this
Tim Donaghy agrees...
by PositivePaul on Jul 29, 2007 5:12 PM PDT up reply actions
Heh, oh man
yeah
yeah i agree, but sometimes
You see Richie step up
He's just a former mall security guard that somehow got an umpiring job and the power went to his head
I now know why so many M's fans
And the casual Mariner fan is one of the most ignorant in baseball....partly because they listen to, and buy in, to this crap.
Listen to KJR callers sometime...
and you'd be SHOCKED to know how many casual M's fans want Adam Jones traded for someone, like YESTERDAY. It's awful.
how can
Yeah
i just like when idiots call in
I turned the game off when this went 10-7
It's OK...
It was a safe assumption.
For those of you
