There's really no graceful way to say this, so I'll just put it out there and be done with it - no baseball watching or baseball writing gets done on Spring Weekend. I'm going to sleep for a while.

Its not as big of a deal as some people make of it
But most relief guys just pitch out of the stetch because most of the time they inherit runners

It's crazy.
Yay for .500
In fact the next three weeks are going to suck. The only below .500 team we play between now and May 20th is the Yankees.

Why are you taking so many classes?
Also, my birthday is exactly one week from today, and so this reminds me of how EVERY year of college, I ALWAYS had finals on my birthday, which sucked. My birthday parties were always like "I'm baking a cake! Come take a break from studying for exams and help me eat it!"

It's normal for 3rd year engineers
Everyone else stays around 5 most of the time. CUED just likes being special, I guess.

Why should you feel stupid?

1/2 a year of community college
Spent many years doing construction jobs, then finally moved on to doing accounting. Had to start at the bottom, and work my way up, but it's still a good job.
My lack of college education doesn't make me any less intelligent. In fact, I know plenty of people with college degrees that barely know how to tie their own shoes (and make less money than I do)!
So don't feel stupid Goose. Everyone has their own path to follow.
Thank you for giving me hope
Intelligence isn't dependent on a college eduction but that defiently shouldn't take anything away from people that do go to college. For some, it just isn't them.
well, another perspective
It's a matter of choice

Agreed.
Oh yeah almost forgot the most important part. I've met some of the stupidest people I know at college. They are first off not bright people and I'm surprised that the can write, read, or survive. The worst part is that they think they are smart because the are going to college. College really doesn't make you smart. It may teach you a lot of theories but its up to the person to incorporate these into how they think about the world. I would say most people never really think enough to do this and are as smart when the leave college as when they arrived.

My $.02
Of course, the Web was just in its infancy back then, and I didn't want to get a Comp. Sci. degree, so that was a choice I made. Fortunately, I learned enough about web programming and other stuff that I was able to get a job doing web stuff anyway.
In many cases, a college degree is more a sign that someone can jump through certain hoops and stick with it. Even extended degrees (masters, PhDs, etc...) can display this.
Yeah, having a degree helps. I won't deny that -- it's a tangible sign that a person has had some success. But by no means does a lack of a degree signify stupidity on someone's behalf. There are so many other factors (money, health, family) that influence people's decisions to complete college, and people who haven't attended college can be just as intelligent as people who have.
It's these hotshot smarty pants folks like Jeff, Graham, Deanna, and others that make college-educated me feel stupid, too! So, yeah, you're not alone in feeling stupid. My college degree isn't really worth shit, and, unlike Deanna, I'm still paying off my college loans, and I've been out of college for a decade now.
