just saw your post in the other thread, UV as in the one right across from the USC campus?

I saw SoAP in Pasadena this past weekend, I rarely go to the UV theater unless I'm going for a midnight cult movie.

As for starting this early, it's only bad the first year. After that you get the full summer vacation and it's not so bad.

I was warned that it's in a pretty iffy neighborhood, but I went with enough people that we weren't about to be jumped. Also, the audience was terrific.

I'm sure
there were a lot of freshmen/people without cars there. That side of campus is probably one of the safer sides (I live on that side, although a couple blocks to the right and up). I've gone to a few movies there with no problems.

It's when you get in the less well lit areas that you start having problems.

over by Cardinal Gardens. I have a friend who lives over there, lot's of parties happen there for university housing. Also a lot of football players live there and it seems like there's at least one rape accusation there per year (and probably more that go un reported).

Nice housing for campus stuff, but kinda sketchy surrounding area.
