Paxton was the only Clinton LumberKing to make the team. He went out and pitched an inning early on, striking out his first two and retiring his third batter on a fly to left. Most of his pitches were in the 88-89 mph range, but he did get a strikeout on a 92 and had a 96 at another point. He and his West division teammates won the game 8-3.
The Pineda, Smoak, Peguero youth movement has me excited! Felix is Felix. Vargas/Fister/Bedard is a pleasant surprise. Guti is back, and I love watching Ryan play SS. If Figgins would retire, I could be excited about every player on the field!
It's good to be having fun again!
Hello. I'm going to be in Seattle for a few days next week. Anyone have any must sees I should check out? Restaurant recommendations? I'm also a beer snob so good brew pubs or brewery info. would also be awesome.
Thanks for any help.
I know this off-season has been underwhelming so far, but what if, theoretically, the Mariners could sign Manny Ramirez? At this point it might be more of a "put butts in the seats" kind of move, but it couldn't hurt... right?
Okay, so I'm not sure if this is the right place to put this. But I was wondering what the song the Mariners played at Safeco right as the players are coming onto the field. If any of you guys know that would be great!
Thanks!
