WHAT ARE YOU DOING JOHNNY MAC?!?!

by MFAN on Jul 12, 2007 9:29 PM PDT reply actions

That's a mistake
It may not come back to bite McLaren, but it's a mistake.

by stoatboy on Jul 12, 2007 9:30 PM PDT up reply actions

Why do they do that
Sherrill can pitch against anyone... let him.

Reitsma is not good

by thenatural on Jul 12, 2007 9:29 PM PDT reply actions

Well better get JJ up
Reitsma cannot be trusted

by TheMarinator on Jul 12, 2007 9:29 PM PDT reply actions

that made NO sense
Mac just used Sherrill as a LOOGY to get out a RHB? WTF?

by sammy on Jul 12, 2007 9:30 PM PDT reply actions

the Tigers also
pinch hit for Casey, a LHB.  GS52 would have faced him as well, but oh well

Nothing has changed.
It's like Hargrove has never left.

Craig Monroe.
In conclusion, McLaren is exactly like the guy he replaced.

by Jeff Sullivan on Jul 12, 2007 9:30 PM PDT reply actions

That should read
"Craig Monroe" sucks.

I omitted the word "sucks" because apparently my brain took it for granted that everyone already knew what I meant.

by Jeff Sullivan on Jul 12, 2007 9:31 PM PDT up reply actions

the fact that he would do this
is the worst m's news in awhile, imo

Seems to be doing better.
But there's more traffic in the later innings of a close game.

yeah, it seems good now

RH vs Sherrill > Anyone vs Reitsma
And for that matter, GS52 trumps just about all.

it's no wonder considering his method to play-by-play calling:

I learned how to announce play by play by sitting in the top deck of Dodger Stadium, up there with the drunks, the skinheads, Cub Scout troops, escaped convicts, booster clubs, Freddie Kruger, and the guy with the pinwheel hat. The players were ants. I'd be saying, "He's really got that palm ball working tonight" and couldn't even see the ball.

Can you imagine if we had this JJ in 2003?
Why the heck couldn't we win the division that year anyway?  I kinda took that year off so i'm not real clear as to why

The Oakland A's
That was the height of the Big 3.

JJ couldn't have helped
M's sucked in the second half due to bad second halves fron Olerud, Edgar and of course the man who defined suck, Cirillo

Cheap attempt at humor.

Me, Cougfan and another poster won
the Rally Fries tonight..that was us 3 being out of control and loud..the rest of the section wasn't too happy we won because we wouldn't participate in the wave and they all thought Vidro was good, cause he had a few hits tonight...it was an awesome game!

RALLY FISH AND CHIPS
I was wondering why it was fish and chips

That proclamation was sweet.

Awesome!
Thanks...we thought there was no way we could be overlooked if King Felix made such a statement

Do you...
Have the full text? Camera showed it for, like, three seconds. I'm a fast reader but I couldn't gleam the whole thing over that quickly.

Also were the Fries cold and why was the delivery lady holding a microphone?

The sign said
Proclamation #071207:

By decree of King Felix these loyal subjects shall be honored with rally fries.

I'm 14-4 now!
Also, I can't believe the sheer number of amazing hitters that I have been at the ballpark to witness JJ striking out to end a game.  I thought it was crazy enough with Bonds, A-Rod, etc, then as soon as I realized it was Magglio Ordonez, I was like "He's going to strike out, goddamnit, or else."

I still can't figure out what the fuck happened on that Beltre single in the 5th inning.  I scored it as a 7-2-4-5-WTF, essentially.

You have a much better
record than I do!

But tonight was awesome..we say up in the 3rd deck, 1st row behind homeplate...awesome seats

Confused the hell out of me
We spent the next half inning trying to figure out how the run scored.  Love those umps!

7 and 2 for me!
I tried to find you guys but I had no luck at all. Not even my Adam Jones chant gave me away.
