Okay, turns out I don't have time to say anything about last night's game. But then again, the less said of Jeff Weaver, the better, I think. Anyhoo, nobody likes losing series to Kansas City, right?
LET'S GO MARINERS!!

Josh Hancock just died in a car accident
It may have been mentioned yesterday
Weaver sucks, but
Why didn't we want him again?
I'm not sure it was that simple
Lopez is being punished
Has anyone noticed
God damn you, Miguel Cabrera
by Graham MacAree on Apr 29, 2007 12:32 PM PDT reply actions
You had to know
Cabrera doubles
This reminds me for whatever reason
Burke!
Is this in recognition of something, or more a note of surprise?
Rightly so!
The catcher role is probably our least problem just now, which is something I suppose.
Yay, Let's give up on the series,
bleh
I remember last summer when we traded Moyer. I said that I'm happy, as it seemed to benefit both parties. Moyer got to be on a team that had a shot at the playoffs, and we rid ourselves of a pitcher who was costing too much money. Was I ever wrong.
moyer
Of course, that's all against the NL.
by appleshampoo on Apr 29, 2007 12:57 PM PDT up reply actions
I understand trading him
Moyer would have been cheaper and just as mediocre.
definitely
So naive was I.
Rizzs looks frighteneing
He's really let himself go now that he's not on TV anymore.
The gun's adding 4-5 mph these days
I guess that answers my question below..

Could you imagine...
Get Baek in for Weaver.
Adrian's still doing it
Umpire: "You're not even at the plate!"
Beltre: ::points to first base umpire::
Umpire: "The other team is batting!"
Beltre: ::points to first base umpire::
Umpire: "Stop that!"
Beltre: ::points to first base umpire::
Umpire: "AHHHHHHHH!"
I can understand why he does that

someone should tell him
well the home plate ump can't even see if he went

Weaver's suck is on another plane
Yeah, that
Weaver might get one, maybe two more starts before they drop him.
I just checked in
Wrap-Up is almost done, along with a bit of a look at the squads (except for Wisconsin, since they haven't played too many games) and how things are generally going.
Pitches taken by our offense in the last 3 innings
Lucky for us we got Cy Baek on the hill
Baek looks pretty good
To be fair...
Also, KC's lineup isn't THAT awful...DeJesus is good, Grudz is okay, Teahen's pretty good, Gordon will come around, and Sweeney's fairly mediocre.
No one spectacular, but they're not ALL awful.
by BrettJMiller on Apr 29, 2007 2:42 PM PDT up reply actions
Agreed -
Comparison
Baek's career winning percentage: .545
King's career winning percentage: .486

In the same...
Stuck on game day
I think that the Mariners
Broussard is sick
Man this inning was stupid
Vidro's hit the ball hard all day....
Quick
Haha
Morrow's last pitch was 92 mph, anyone know what they were?
They were fastballs
I think he threw only one offspeed pitch.
As seen on Royals Review
that gritty SOB plays the game THE RIGHT WAY!!!

They should
Weaver's next start
Um, by signing him in the first place
Hey if the phillies can
Except theirs is actually good, and weaver sucks.
This decision to keep Weaver as an SP seals it
Then again...
We'll see.

Okay.

hey man don't pout
Nothing wrong with coming out and saying what you think, but if what you think is liable to get under someone's skin and you can't take the backlash, maybe it's better to read more and post less.

I'd be willing to bet
Just pushing his buttons
Yeah I didn't witness that
I don't know... my little brother is 12, and he's pretty dumb/immature, so... I guess I can cut him lots of slack
I remember when I saw him at the USSM feed
Oh....
I had no idea that was Coach Owens.
he's lucky I didn't, too.
The USSM guys didn't either
The USSM guys were bagging on CoachOwens, and then suddenly someone pointed out that he and his dad/father/I forget were sitting right there, and DMZ was like, 'Oh shit! You're here?!'
It was awkward and hilarious.
Jeez Corco, did the kid screw your mom or

- .267/.348/.426 - .774 OPS, 326 AB
- .241/.350/.378 - .728 OPS, 315 AB
- fluky .068/.192/.091 - .283 OPS, 44 AB
I don't know much about his defense but I wouldn't bet on anything above average.

Sweet, Mariners win.
Richie hit a single?????
Also, Burke is my favorite backup catcher ever.
Mariners end April at .500
