The Mariners will return to the field this afternoon after missing a day in rainy New York, avoiding a soaked infield and what was sure to be a plethora of boos aimed at Robinson Cano from a seething crowd. Today, they get to skip one of those things but will surely have to face the other.
Roenis Elias gets the start today, as it appears the Mariners have started to tinker with their starting rotation now that Iwakuma is likely to pitch on Saturday. With King Felix scheduled for Friday now, the M's will finally have their actual 1-2 rotation punch they were supposed to have all along, and boy does it feel nice. Well, hopefully it will feel nice.

- Well lookie here! Michael Saunders is leading off for the M's today, which pushes Abraham Almonte to the...bench? It appears that we have is a bit of an interesting lineup shakeup that was probably due for some time, that is also kind of a wait what? Stefen Romero is batting second? Stefen Romero?
- Meanwhile, Kyle Seager remains in the fifth spot in the order, which is alright I guess, but really bizarre in a game where Romero bats second. Fixing one problem by replacing it with another problem that simply has yet to materialize itself still leaves you with...a problem. But sure, watch the M's rake today and I'll look a fool.
