Time For Mariner's Bullpen Overhaul?

Oh, not this again...via mets360.com

I may be rushing to a conclusion that isn't entirely warranted, but it seems to me the current edition of the Mariner's bullpen is overwhelmed. This recent series against Boston has left me with some thoughts that I would like to share.

Right now, there isn't anyone I trust to get three outs at the end of a game. I never believed that Tom should be back in the "closers" role. I still don't. The fastball command is nowhere to be seen, and he seems to have last snap on his curveball. I even though coming into the season that he could be converted to a starter if he could develop a third pitch. But now I really doubt there is a single fan of this team that could have faith in him right now to pour them a shot at last call without spilling all over the damn counter.

I thought maybe Oliver could handle the job. He himself has regressed significantly since the break. I'm a little less worried about him because I don't feel like I have to look away and hold my breath whenever he comes in a game. But his recent run of trouble has got me wondering...

Even Medina has all of a sudden gotten homer happy and just looks over worked now. Maybe because he was this entire series, but I still have to wonder about him.

I still like Furbush, in the right role. I still like Luetge in a much lesser role. And, of course, Farquhar has been pretty fun to watch. If not confusing, as Dave wrote.

I guess we could just chalk this up to regression that we should have seen coming.

Or this is really a problem that needs addressing. The most worthy options include Stephen Pryor, Josh Kinney (remember him?), Carson Smith, Brian Moran, and Logan Bawcom.

What say you?
