Mariners Switching White Home Unis to Cream in 2014, Maybe

So, this was posted on Sportslogos.net:

It would be a shame if this were to end up happening, but the Seattle Mariners may be getting rid of their iconic teal secondary colour in favour of "old gold".

In a post made by Ebbets Field Flannels on their Facebook fan page on February 28, 2013, which was quickly deleted:

"Doing some informal consulting for the Seattle Mariners on their 2014 uniforms. They are going creme instead of white for the home (we love it). We are gently pushing for them to lose the teal and adapt old gold as the secondary color after navy."

Chris Creamer (no pun intended) buried the lede, which is that the M's appear to be switching to a cream home uniform next year. Wow, cream! As for dropping the teal; don't freak out just yet. At this point it may only be the throwback-fetishists at EFF who are angling for a return to the old Blue and Gold. I like the idea but admit to being reflexively nostalgic for retro unis. Old colors with a cream home uni is more old-timey baseball-ish, as opposed to the 90's X-treme!! of the teal.

All of which is terribly important to our lives. WHAT COLOR COSTUME SHOULD OUR FAVORITE BASEBALL TEAM BE WEARING.

Update 3/11: As noted in the comments below, this topic was posted by yuniform in an OT fanpost on March 1. I was not aware of that comment thread or of ahopeformatt's fanshot that preceded it. The discussion in the OT thread is worth a look. My apologies to both posters.
