This morning I stumbled across an article discussing how hitters on teams with players currently on a long hitting streak tend to hit for a higher average. I recommend reading the whole article, but the short version is that they find statistically significant improvement. Some caveats, they only use batting average, not more useful measures of offensive production and they do not control for opposing pitcher quality.
