The Origins of Asscam

Per Drayer. The pertinent quote: "We also had the camera behind the plate, which I try to always have for Felix," [director Mark Engelbrekt] continued. "The combination gives you the view of the hitter. Seeing what the hitter is seeing, it's just devastating. Where did the ball go?" I understand what they're trying to do a little better now, but unfortunately it doesn't work for me, since you can't "see what the hitter is seeing" with the umpire and catcher in the way. Perhaps a higher shot, from a camera above the catcher and behind the empty batters' box, would be more effective in this regard.
