Mariners #11 Prospect Jordan Shipers throws no-hitter for Clinton Lumber Kings against the West Michigan WhiteCaps. The Lumber Kings won the game 10-0. He pitched mostly to contact, initiating 15 ground outs, seven fly outs, only striking out two.
The Lumber Kings got 12 hits in the contest.
Shipers was a 16th round draft pick in 2010. Seattle went over slot to keep him from heading to Missouri State. Last season he pitched in Everett. He earned a spot on this year's Midwest League All-Star team.
