The recent discussions about cake (turns out there is a band by that name... who knew? <g>) led my mind down various pastry paths.
I have been making a lot (I mean, a lot) of banana bread lately, due to my Aged Parent's new tendency to pick up a banana after breakfast, take it back to his room, tuck it away "for later" and then promptly forget it is there. One brown banana later, and voila! Yet another loaf of banana bread.Fortunately, I have developed a really good recipe.
Other ideas for what to do with brown bananas?
Other ideas for what to do when dealing with food items you don't actually like, yourself, say ... bananas?

Speaking of sweets-- Mothers Day is coming up this weekend ... has anyone ever come up with a brilliant gift idea?
