You want to Throw Away the Season Mariners, or Do You Want to Win?

UPDATE: I over-reaccted when I wrote this fanpost. I thought no one would read this, but boy I was wrong. So after some Chinese beer and Calamari, while watching montage of Mariners win so far in HD, I feel better. I'll keep this fanpost as a reminder to not over-react and do stupid things, like this post:

This is the first fanpost in this blog. As a die hard Mariner Fan since the days of Ichiro's rookie season in MLB, I've seen shares of Ups and Downs, from strikeouts King Felix throws from game to game, all the way to huge loss in 2001 ALCS, which forever made me hate the Yankees to the day I die.

But Nothing, and I mean, NOTHING, made me more frustrated then today's shutout loss to the White Sox.

I had very high hopes that Mariners could go all the way during this season with hot start against Oakland Athletics. Yes, In know it's Oakland, but it was such a strong start. Then came the game against the Rangers. Yes, that was brutal. But at least we won a game in the 4 game series. Another wins against the Athletics, I thought thing were going the right for the Mariners.

Then came the game against Indians. The first against the Indians was brutal, but we rebounded with 4-1 win the next night. Then came the horrifying collapse the next night, the collapse that has lead to now 3 game losing streak.

I thought by now, Mariners realized that they need to turn around and do something. But boy, I was wrong. With the shut out loss against the White Sox (I will refuse to call it a perfect game), I am, as of this point, ABSOLUTELY PISSED OFF, and VERY ANGRY at the players. It looked like they completely gave up. Literally, they looked like this series was a loss, since the first game against the White Sox.

I have one thing to say to Mariners players: WAKE UP! Do you want to just throw away the season at this point, and hope for the best next year, or do you want to win, and shock the whole baseball nation by making it to ALDS and World Series?

It's still early in the season. But if you collapse now, it's over. It's your call Mariners. Do you want to throw the season away now, or do you want to win?
