Paxton leaves after 4.2 innings. Pitch count got towards 90 and ballooned quickly. `1 run on 4 hits, walked 1 and struck out 7

He wasn't removed because he was getting knocked around - he was removed because he was starting to miss his location and his pitch count shot up. He had a walk and seven strikeouts, giving him a walk and 17 strikeouts through two starts. I don't know why I'm fanshotting this when I didn't fanshot Hultzen or Walker but why do we do any of the things that we do? There's no questioning Paxton's unhittability. It's all a matter of refining command. I think he's kind of like a double-A Erik Bedard. Given a bit more efficiency, Paxton could rise in a blink.
