OT- Dec 6th, not a date which will live in infamy edition

Dec 6th.

Just a quiet, boring day in history (well, except for perhaps those on board CV Akagi, CV Hiryu, CV Kaga, CV Shokaku, CV Soryu and CV Zuikaku in 1941.)

They finished the Washington Monument.

A judge declared that James Joyce's novel "Ulysses" was not obscene

Rutherford B Hayes was given the Presidency (no politics!)

The 2012 Rule 5 draft took place. The Mariners did not take anyone in the major league portion, although Josh Fields was the first pick, taken by our new cohorts, Los Astros.

oh, wait! "1964 - "Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer" first airs on TV" ("It's fascinating; you've no idea. Molars and bicuspids and incisors... ")

Also dogs driving. There will be a dog driving competition starring the three trainees to be aired on New Zealand tv on Dec. 10th, which will hopefully wind up on the internet shortly thereafter.
