Mariners rank first in Jonathan Mayo's "Prospect Points" rankings
Jonathan Mayo of mlb.com ranked the top 100 prospects in baseball, then gave each team points for having prospects on the list (100 points for #1, 99 points for #2, etc.). The M's ended up at the front of the pack with 329 "prospect points", a pretty comfortable lead over the 290 points of the second-place royals.

You can only take a list
that doesn’t have the Blue Jays as a top 10 system so seriously, but its always good to see the Mariners represented nationally, even if our “top” prospect will probably never play a game in our minor leagues

Yes, only prospects in the top 100 are worth anything, and the top guy is worth 100 times as much as the #100 guy. This makes sense…
