I don't know.
It depends on how much he ends up signing for (assuming this is legit). The fact that he turned down a $1 million deal (w/ incentives)/1 year deal with Colorado has me worried that this deal is more than that somehow (either money or years). But he posted decent numbers last year (in Coors Field no less) and his HR rate will drop at Safeco. If it’s a short term “he’ll be our #5 starter till Hultzen or Paxton shows up” kind of deal then I see no harm in it.
He's a good pitcher for Safeco- as long as it's less than 2 years/5 million or so, why not

So what does this mean for Beavan and Furbush?
If they’re giving Noesi a starting shot, then the rotation looks like Felix/Vargas/Iwakuma/Noesi/Millwood. The bullpen already has League/Kelley/Wilhelmsen/Sherrill. The team only needs one long reliever, so what becomes of the other guy? Is he converted into a seventh-inning dude? Does he go down to AAA? Does he get flipped?
I was about to post this question so I'll post a follow-up
More succinctly, do we have anything to gain from giving Kevin Millwood starts that otherwise would go to Beavan or Furbush. It seems like we have more to learn about both, so I’m not sure I agree with banishing them to AAA, especially if they around the trade deadline Millwood goes away and Hultzen, Paxton, or both leapfrog Beavan and Furbush and join the rotation, which seems to be the plan.
It's not a good idea to rely solely on Beavan / Furbush
While Beavan and Furbush are young and not quite stable in the rotation, Kevin Millwood is quite a known quantity. His numbers last year weren’t far off his career mark (besides HR/FB%, which, well… he was pitching in Coors, you get the idea). Additionally, with pitchers being pitchers, they tend to hurt themselves on a regular basis, and having an additional arm if a pitcher goes down is always a nice thing. Millwood isn’t a game changer, but I think he’d be a better pitcher than Beavan / Furbush would be this season, and I think the Mariners need all the help they can get to win and keep the fanbase as interested as they can this season.
It's going to be pretty lame though if this does round out the rotation.
It kind of seems like it might.
Felix/Vargas/Iwakuma/Millwood/Noesi would only be for a couple of months I'm guessing
I’m guessing two, maybe three get dealt at the deadline which opens up space for Hultzen, Paxton, Erasmo, Snow. By mid-season, if all goes well, I think the rotation would be Felix/Iwakuma/Hultzen/Noesi/Paxton
