Do you know if he got the assist?
"Me, I romp and stomp Thankful as I romp
Without freedom of speech I might be in the swamp" B. Dylan
Yeah, pitchers get assists foa all groundouts where they touch the ball.
Holds for all fielders.
Yay he's as effective as a tree
Way to reflect that shit

The highlight guy (or gal)...
obviously didn’t watch the clip before posting it.

I learned how to pronounce his name the same way I learned how to spell it
No “A’”, see.
Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man.
If the ball had hit Noesi in the face, knocked all of his teeth out onto the field, taken his head with it,
caused a massive geyser of Skittles to erupt from his now headless torso across the infield attracting all manner of mutant rodents from the sewers of Boston in a frenzied storm of activity, followed by Adrian Gonzalez becoming a beam of pure light, do you think Joe Buck would have changed his intonation at all?

I make "nice plays" all the time.
I should try out for a baseball team or something.
Of course it was a nice play.
You think it was random chance that his angular momentum from his follow through angled his back in just the right direction to deflect the ball directly towards first base? I doubt it.

Did you see the the score?
That was this game: 1 IP, 7 batters faced, 2 hits, 2 walks, 3 runs, all earned. No, not a good outing.
(Of course Sabbathia had given up 7 runs in 6 innings, and with that loss the Red Sox briefly caught the Yankees in the AL East)
That was a nifty clip...
Until I heard that part.

Noesi Is lucky that there were two outs.
Otherwise he would have had to deflect the ball off his head hard enough, and at the just right angle such as to carom off Teixeira’s head such that it ended up right in Jeter’s glove at second so he could go back to first to double up AGon.

These are the things you have to do when you're a pitcher and balls are hit to Jeter's glove side.

It really is the best show ever...
every time I watch an episode again I discover a subtle joke for the first time.
