Beaven up, Carp Down, Gimenez to 60 day DL
Those are the moves. Poor Mike Carp. Never really got a chance. Hope he gets another one soon because ugh, Peguero.

Gimenez to the 60 Day??
Makes his performance in his last game even more impressive in a way. Or, maybe he should have pulled himself at the first twinge and make Adam Kennedy catch.
Carp didn't get much of a look.
I thought he was decent. Showed some on base potential. I still like him more than Peguero.

That's funny.
I saw the link to this on Facebook and thought I’d go over and say something about how poor Carp was never given a chance. Now I seen you’ve beaten me to it, Matthew.
Fish or cut bait
I think they owe Carp his release if he wants it.

Why would Carp want his release?
Considering the team’s situation at DH is presently tenuous at best, we’re probably his best bet for Major League playing time right now.

At this point I would rather see Saunders struggle in LF.
Can’t really understand why this regime is staying with Peguero.
Fear the NPE

Saunders was inactive while dealing with personal matters and only recently got back.

It's pronounced "bevven."

He will!
As a Tacoma Rainier, Mike Carp will be an everyday player.

I wonder how long Yepez sticks around.
Pretty unneeded at this point it seems
I didn't know Jeff Gray was still on the team until marc pointed it out yesterday.

I can't help but remember him.
It’s amazing that one year after the hooray, the team is finally going to try out a six-man pen which lasted three games, the 2011 Mariners have essentially run with a 5-man bullpen for months
Yes, but we're running a five man bullpen without getting the benefit of the extra roster spot
I mean how bored must Dan Cortes have been doing nothing in every game for a month?
by seattlebruin on Jul 3, 2011 12:43 PM PDT up reply actions
I have to wonder about that.
How do the other guys in the bullpen behave around him, knowing that he’ll probably keep sitting there while they get into games?

I'm just happy with the six man pen.
Besides, not like an extra bench hitter would have accomplished anything
Just like Mike Wilson did for a while until he realized that no one was paying attention.

He's walking now!
10/8 K/BB in the last ten games. That’s… something.

Carp over Peguero? I guess Z is a chick.

How come you can do all this other great shit, but you can't lie the fuck down and sleep?

Seems a little silly to me. Peguero seems pretty obviously replacement level.
Why not see if Carp can be a little better than that? I haven’t been overly impressed with his skills, but it’s not like his AAA stats are completely meaningless…
I like Halman, inflated BABIP and all, better going forward than both of them, however.
Perception of teachability?
Does the coachng staff have some reason to believe that Peguero is still learning and improving even while sitting while Carp can only get better with reps?
That can be the only reason I can think of Peguero wasn’t the one sent.
However, I couldn’t think of a reason why Kennedy got the first call to fill in at 1B either while Carp was on the roster (DH either for that matter).
To left field, against a LHP.
We went to the game tonight and my girlfriend, who pays very little attention to the players, said, “Wait, Carp is in Tacoma?” I told her the situation and even she was confused.
The funny thing is Carp has been gone, what, a month? He still has better numbers than anyone on the roster.

The Club is right
and nothing can be written as regards the FO confusional state of mind
English isn't his first language.

I was referring to a previously hidden comment
That, little to do with English skill, was not well founded. The hiding of which is what I believed “nothing can be written” was referring to.
I'll try my best, you can bet on it
the same way I’ve been trying to find any design in the M’s operations, both on and off the field
